Our Story

Missy was my first and only "foster fail". She was found alone and injured at just a year old. Her back leg had been crushed. Vets worked incredibly hard to save her leg, but even after surgery and physio, it had continued to atrophy. Eventually, the best choice for her was an amputation. Missy may only have three legs, but that’s never stopped her. She’s brave, silly, cuddly, and so full of personality.

Now almost 10 years old, her resilience and spirit are what inspired me to start Paws and Porch, which is why she is reflected in our logo. I wanted other pet parents to experience the same peace of mind I wanted with Missy: knowing their animals are safe, comfortable, and loved when they can’t be there with them.
